Carncot School is conveniently situated within the Palmerston North CBD, on Broadway Avenue. The inner-city site is well placed for parents working in town, and is easily accessible (via Regent Street and Rangitane Street gateways) for parents travelling in from surrounding areas.
The main site, the original Fitzherbert homestead, was purchased on behalf of the school by a group of forward-thinking parents of the time, in 1955, and has served the school well. With the acquisition of neighbouring properties the land available for classrooms, specialist facilities and play areas has been steadily expanded.
