Senior Speeches

The 2021 Year 8 prepared Persuasive Speeches received glowing feedback from our two esteemed Massey University judges, Dr Lisa Emerson and Associate Professor Elizabeth Gray. They were amazed by the high calibre and quality of both the written material and of the effectiveness of the deliveries. They were so impressed that every Year 8 presented to a large audience with confidence and persuasiveness about the topic 'Out with the old and in with the new'. This is another example of how excellent teaching throughout the whole school scaffolds explicit learning which, in this case, concludes with the delivery of advanced persuasive speeches.
