“I like it how the teachers are friendly and always willing to help.  I enjoy going on the camps and there are always new and exciting things to do.  Carncot has good sports and the hockey team is great fun. It was good that so many of us got into the rep teams for hockey.”

The Parents’ Association of Carncot School is the official body of parent representation and involvement. It is made up of all parents and caregivers of the School. The main task of the PA is to be supportive of the School and to assist in whichever ways possible.

The main objectives of the Parents’ Association are:
  • Promoting the spirit of friendship throughout Carncot.
  • Promoting awareness of Carncot.
  • Assisting with any fundraising objectives.
  • Organising activities that bring the school family together – galas, parents’ evenings, dinners, morning teas and special functions.
  • Providing practical assistance within a wide range of activities in the school.

The Parents’ Association has elected officers and a committee. As far as possible, the membership of the committee endeavours to reflect the different year groups of the school. This ensures that the interests of all age groups from Year 1 to Year 8 are represented and also that there is a sense of continuity. However, at all times all parents are welcome to attend Parents’ Association meetings, which are usually held on the first Monday of the month.
