What are the Term Dates for 2012?

Term 1:  Monday 30 January - Thursday 5 April

Term 2:  Monday 23 April - Friday 29 June

Do you accept international fee-paying students?

Yes.  There are legal requirements which must be followed for children of primary and intermediate age and a discussion with our International Liaison person, Mrs James, is needed.

What hours is the school open and do you offer after-school care?

The school hours are 8.50am (8.45am for seniors) to 3.10pm.  Students may arrive at school from 8.15am and must be collected by 3.30pm.  Any times outside these hours must be negotiated with the principal.
We do not offer after-school care, but several of our children attend School’s Out after school care facility.

Do you offer learning support for children who need extra help?

Yes.  We have an excellent Learning Support teacher who, along with the classroom teacher, assesses each child's needs and plans an individual programme for them. They have lessons as required either individually or in pairs with the Learning Support teacher.

What provisions are made for Gifted and Talented children?

The Principal, classroom teacher and parents meet to discuss the individual needs of each child.  Intellectual, social and emotional needs are considered and an individual programme is planned.  This may include sessions with a specialist teacher, acceleration, learning station work within the classroom etc.

No. We discuss past achievements at the enrolment interview.

When is your Open Day?

We have two official open days per term.  However, you are welcome to take a tour of the school in action at any time by ringing the School Office: 06 353 2302.

What are the tuition fees and other costs?

Tuition Fees: We work hard to keep fees competitive. Please click on our link to take you to our fees breakdown. You will find the investment in a Carncot education is worth every cent for your daughter.

Uniform: this will vary depending on the age of your child.  All girls purchase a summer and winter (best uniform), and a sports uniform.  A tracksuit is also compulsory for Years 7 and 8.

Incidentals: These fees vary from approximately $30 per term for juniors to $100 for seniors.  It largely depends on the activities undertaken.
